Just Off Fifth: 66 East 11th Street Open House

Landmark Branding recently attended an open house at 66 East 11th Street’s duplex penthouse, a new architectural project by Delos Living, a wellness lifestyle brand backed by Deepak Chopra and focused on organic, energy-efficient and health-conscious living environments. Featuring advanced related technologies that included Vitamin C-filtered showers and anti-microbal treatments for high-use surfaces, the apartment also boasts more traditional amenities including a dramatic floating staircase and a glass rooftop enclosure that might serve as a conservatory.
Hosted by Curbed New York and Dolly Lenz Real Estate (the exclusive broker), guests enjoyed goat cheese-filled watermelon dumplings and miso tuna tartare cones: views of the Empire State Building to the north and the recently completed 1 WTC to the south gained the most attention – although we liked the closer, more intimate views of James Renwick Jr.’s early masterpiece, Grace Church, a half-block away on Broadway.
66 East 11th Street itself has a wondefully preserved facade that echoes the works of great 19th Century American architects Henry Hobson Richardson and Louis Sullivan; is cale and detailing, the sturcture is quite similar to the former Kentshire Galleries building on East 12th Street, a block to the north.
