92 Fifth Avenue, built just a year after Wedgwood House, is of the same residential genre but lacks the earlier building’s air of nautical elegance.

The use of colored brick is unusual for mid-century modern and might have been more successful had the dark orange of the first story been the lighter shade of the stories above.

92 Fifth Avenue is one of only four purpose-built residential structures on the Ladies’ Mile.

The building replaced the structure where renowned photographer Walker Evans lived and worked in the 1930s.
